Black Rock Farmer’s Market – Burning Man 2012

Duckie Blog, Performance Art & Installations

I have been very lucky to be successful in obtaining a place at Burning Man this year, an amazing project to build a temporary city in the middle of the Nevada desert, USA. For those of you who don’t know, it is an incredible feat to create a fantastical city, with its own wacky rules and completely different principles to normal society.

You can get an idea of the scale of the spectacle by watch this epic time lapse of the event.

As part of this city I am involved in running More Carrot, a farmer’s market happening every morning in the French Quarter (New Orleans style village). We will provide free fresh fruit and vegetables in the desert every morning, and want to expand to build a custom swamp cooler, buy a bike powered smoothie maker, improved chill out area & entertainment.

If you have a couple of dollars to spare, please donate to support us and help us realise this amazing project!  Act quick, we only  have a couple of days left before the fundraising campaign is complete!

There are loads of great incentives made by the amazing Portuguese artist Ana Brotas, which we will mail to you as a thank you for your support.

And if you will be attending this year, we will be doing campsite deliveries of fresh fruit and veggies for supporters during the event! Or stop by the market in the morning between 8-11am and pick up some tasty treats!

Smoothie maker to the desert!! See you there people!
