This weekend is Sydney’s Reclaim the Lanes 2012.

“What is Reclaim the Lanes?” I hear you ask? Nothing but the best free moving laneway party this side of the equator. Colourful folks, live music, wheelie bin sound systems and good vibes are what you can expect. Don’t miss out! Departing from the Hub (opposite Newtown Station) at 2pm this Saturday 17 March, if you’re running late you must roam the laneways straining your ears to find the elusive party.

Last September 2011, amongst colourful umbrellas, face painting, giant twister, chalk drawing, a moveable ball pit and balloon art, our crew created a moving 50s lemonade stand as an art installation. Free home made lemonade, honky tonk tunes and a bunch of lovely ladies in 50s attire made quite a scene for the photographers there on the day. I wasn’t too concerned when the rain came as I was well prepared, already equiped with umbrella and swim suit!
